Do I need to prime photo-etch before painting?

Yes. Metal PE parts need an etch primer or at least a light coat of metal primer to ensure paint adhesion. Standard plastic primers may not grip bare metal well. Spray a light coat of etch primer on the fret before removing parts.

How long does a PE detail set take to add?

A typical 50-part PE set adds 4-8 hours to a build. Complex sets with folded parts and intricate assemblies can add much more. Budget 3-5 minutes per small part and 8-15 minutes per complex folded part.
