How We Calculate This
Calculates main line track length from layout dimensions and track plan style, then adds siding lengths.
Formula
- Oval = 2 x Length + Pi x Radius x 2 (for curves at each end)
- Sidings total = Number of sidings x Average siding length
- Total track = Main line + Sidings total
- Flex track pieces = Total / Track piece length (914mm for OO)
