Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of modelcalcs.uk (the “site”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site provides

The site is a free library of scale-modelling and miniature calculators plus reference content — covering scale conversions, paint and finishing quantities, RC power and gearing, railway and diorama planning, scratch-building dimensions and tools. It is provided “as is” without account registration or payment.

2. Accuracy and your own test piece

Calculators are estimates based on standard modelling scales, established hobby practice, and the figures you enter. Real-world results depend on the specific paints, fillers, glues, kits and components you use, your technique, and how materials behave as they cure or dry. Always test paint mixes, thinning ratios and adhesives on scrap or an offcut, and measure your own parts before cutting, drilling or committing material on a finished build.

Treat every result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Paint coverage, drying times and material quantities in particular vary with brand, temperature, humidity and application, so mix or buy a little extra where you can. We round and estimate conservatively, but we cannot account for every product, scale or modeller, so verify quantities and dimensions against the manufacturer’s data and your own test piece before you commit.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
